Somehow, you become theirs.
And then there is you. I got a wife, and as a completely unexpected bonus, I got a sister. Not the polite “sister-in-law” kind. The steals-food, sends-random-messages, makes-everything-funnier kind.

Because somewhere along the way, “my wife’s sister” stopped being the accurate description.
You became my sister too — the sister I never had, and one of those people who makes family feel a little bigger, warmer and considerably more ridiculous.
I hope you know how much you are loved. Even when nobody says it out loud. Especially when nobody says it out loud.
